Concept Note for 2026 BRICS Skills Competition_China's Division

Under India’s Presidency of BRICS+ countries in 2026, the 2026 BRICS Future Skills & Technology Challenge will take place continuously, as a flagship, high-visibility, youth- and industry-facing initiative that advances future skills, technology innovation and BRICS+ cooperation. By the authorization from the India Chairship, the China Section of BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group, BRICS Alliance for Skills Development are going to organize the 2026 BRICS Skills Competition (BRICS+ Future Skills & Technology Challenge) in China’s Division, with 33 skills will be distributed in the education and training institutions around October to December. Participants from BRICS+ countries are sincerely invited to participate in this competitions in China physically or remotely.
This competition includes 33 skills, focus on intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital technical skills, green skills, new industry, new
technology and etc., with aims to level up the capabilities of young professionals and students on humanistic skills and future skills transformation, foster cross-border collaboration, creativity, and applied learning, encourage participants to develop solutions that are both locally relevant and globally scalable, so as to enrich the cooperation between vocational institutions & enterprises, advance the integration between industry and education, and cultivate high-quality technical skilled talents for BRICS+ countries.
